What the Acura TSX Wagon Should Look Like

Since we’re on the topic of JDM Wagons, we’d be remiss if we did revisit the Acura TSX Sport Wagon. Our constant harping on this subject is all about high expectations and disappointing results. In our past article “If Looks Were Everything,” we chided the mechanical failures of the TSX’s automatic transmission, 4-cylinder engine, and front wheel drive as lacking of the title “Sport Wagon.” In comparison we complimented the TSX’s handsome styling, although perhaps prematurely.

After reading the blog “Car Guy Dad” our editor stumbled across a Photoshop by Dan Lee of what the TSX should look like, and we have to agree. The changes include larger 18-inch gunmetal OEM rims from the TL Type-S (nearly every car looks better with gunmetal wheels), chrome and silver finish removed (especially the front grille, which is painted body color), multi-piston brake calipers from the RL/ TL Type-S, lower suspension, and the removal of the roof rack. Our only point of contention here would be the nixing of the roof rack, but we’re all about utilitarianism here.

So, Acura, when you go to refresh the TSX Wagon, make sure you update these styling changes in addition to that 2.3l turbocharged motor from the RDX and that 6-speed manual we’ve been requesting.

Many thanks,
Real Sport Wagon Owners
