Whats
better than the gorgeous new Audi A6 Avant? Well a tuned one of course.
And as always, Abt Sportsline is on the job. The venerable Audi tuner
has tweaked countless Avants over their 110 years of experience (our
favorites being the twin-turbo diesel AS4 Avant and C6 RS6 Avant),
and claims the AS6 Avant “shows all of our experience in tuning.”
Indeed, Abt has done one hell of a job with the AS6, especially when it
comes to the engine department. With the 3.0L turbo diesel that churns
out 245 hp in stock form, Abt has tuned the motor to deliver an
impressive 300 horses and a more-important 428 lb-ft of twist. If
you’re a petrol-head (literally), Abt offers “the maximum sports
combination” with their tuned version of Audi’s 3.0L supercharged TFSI
V6. Power is increased from 300 horses to a B7 RS4-rivaling 420,
with nearly 400 lb-ft of torque. If one chooses this “blown” route,
paired with an automatic transmission, your AS6 Avant will sprint to
sixty in 5.0 seconds and continue onward to 174 mph.
If
style is more your thing, Abt also offers a variety of performance
alloys, ranging from 19 to 21 inches, and a full aero kit to make your
AS6 stand apart. To learn more about the C7 AS6 Avant, and see full dyno
charts for the power packages, check out Abt’s website below.
